D.R.A.M. Wants Some of Erykah Badu’s “WiFi” [Audio]

Digging deeply into the 90s vault of slow jams, American rapper, singer, and songwriter D.R.A.M. drags at the opening of his new single, “WiFi,” with a question: “Do you got WiFi?” The scenario is him going to hang out with a lady, but struggles to find a signal. By the time Mama Badu graces the song, she brags about her service being superior, but in the same breath wanting him to admire her feng shui. The need for WiFi supersedes the evening’s activities and becomes a push and pull between D.R.A.M.’s need for connectivity and Erykah’s need for control. As the “WiFi” comes to a close they sing, “No strings attached, no strings attached. Still connected, still connected.” A sad reality of our times. Advice to D.R.A.M: get yourself an unlimited cellphone plan!

Taken from his debut album Big Baby D.R.A.M. that was released earlier this month. Check out “WiFi” below.
