Lead member of The Internet, Syd announced earlier last year that she was working on her solo project, which is now scheduled to release February 3rd. The album, ironically titled, Fin, caused fans to question whether the album represents The Internet disbanding. However, Syd affirms, “This is my descent into the depth I want the band to get to. For me, this is like an in-between thing – maybe get a song on the radio, maybe make some money, have some new shit to perform.” So fear not, The Internet is not going anywhere and will be treating us to other solo projects from members in 2017.

The first single from the front woman, is “All About Me,” which at first glance one would think of conceit, however, the song walks us through the connection she has with her people, her squad, for in fact, looking out for your people, you are indeed protecting yourself, thus, making it ‘all about me.’ Set against a dark groove, and produced by The Internet band member Steve Lacy.
