Slakah the Beatchild – “Something Forever” EP (Audio)

There’s no time like the present to talk about this talented artist, Slakah the Beatchild. I’m holding a late pass on Something Forever, but am still sharing with you.

Slakah The Beatchild is an Toronto-based musician and producer. His debut release, Soul Movement Vol. 1 on BBE Records came out in 2009 and featured a mixture of dreamy grooves for the two-step crew. On Soul Movement, he highlighted his skills as a producer and musician as he worked with quite a few upcoming artists with distinctive sounds. If you love the smooth vibe that Dwele brings, vocals that hug you like a Raphael Saadiq track, with Dilla/Pete Rock worthy bass grooves, then Slakah the Beatchild is your guy.

Something Forever EP, is his second release where he picks up from where he left off, groove-wise with Soul Movement Vol. 1. It’s mixture of instrumentals that can stand perfectly alone or could also be accompanied by a hot rap verse and/or a smooth melody.

Something Forever is available digitally on  iTunes and Amazon, and in February a full length CD will be available, and will contain 4 additional tracks! Not sure on details about those tracks, but if the EP is anything to go by, you need to get it next month! Check out the tune below.
