Omar – “The Man” Has Arrived! (Full Album Stream)

We’ve been going on about this album for quite some time and it has finally arrived. British Soul Singer and multi-instrumentalist, Omar is about to drop his seventh studio album, entitled The Man, a pure labour of love, highlighting his incredible vocal ability, musicianship, and his skillful selections of the right players to compliment his creations. Interviewing Omar back in January 2012, I asked what he could tell us about The Man, and he succinctly replied, “not to expect anything, but expect everything.” The Man is just that – from the musical arrangements, collaborators, lyrical contexts, and the overall feeling, whether it’s an emotional or colourful experience, it will be positive. The album features longtime friend Caron Wheeler (she sang backing on his debut single, “Mr. Postman“) and Pino Palladino on bass for “There’s Nothing Like This.”
