Gilles Peterson Premieres New Music from Omar’s Forthcoming Album Love in Beats

Renowned British based DJ Gilles Peterson, and host of BBC Radio 6’s weekly show premiered a few tracks from UK’s MBE recipient Omar, from his forthcoming album Love in Beats — his eighth studio album. The tracks featured were “Gave My Heart” with the legendary Leon Ware, “I Want It to Be,” and “This Way, That Way.” We actually heard it first on Simon Harrison’s Basic Soul podcast, however, it has since been removed due to Peterson’s show having exclusivity to promoting “Gave My Heart.” Vocally on point, with music that contains a level of sophistication that is what Omar is known for. The album is scheduled to release January 27th on Freestyle Records with collaborations from  Robert Glasper, Ty, Jean-Michele Rotin, Natasha Watts, The Floacist, and Mayra Andrade.
