Little Dragon & Faith Evans Collaborate on Raphael Saadiq Produced “Peace Of Mind”

Little Dragon and Faith Evans - Peace of Mind

A song that was close to being left on the cutting-room floor, Little Dragon sent it on to music-producer friend Raphael Saadiq for input, of which he returned with an unlikely candidate, Faith Evans. Saadiq gathered the artists together at his studio in Los Angeles where they also shot the video. Evans, unfamiliar with the group, mentioned the collaboration to her kids, who urged her to do the track (thank God for kids!). Little Dragon’s front woman, Yukimi Nagano told The LA Times, “It was kind of like a dream come true. I still can’t really get that it happened, and when I listen to the song I feel really honored to be on the same track as her.” The song, a quiet storm of a ballad where Nagano sings the verse, as Evans carries the chorus with her buttery vocals, and Saadiq’s lush production. It’s a gorgeous combination. Check out the video below.
