Moonchild, the West Coast trio are close to releasing their third album, Voyage and have graced us with two tunes, this one being “Show the Way,” and the previous track “Cure.” It is evident with each release, that their sound becomes more and more sophisticated. Since hitting the scene in 2012, Amber, Andris, and Max have toured the US sharing the same stages as India.Arie, Jill Scott, Leela James, and The Internet and have worked with some heavy hitters in the soul jazz crowd. Citing D’Angelo, Hiatus Kaiyote and J. Most as influential to their style of soul and new-school jazz, the band create ethereal sounds with dreamlike vocals. Their classic jazz training allows them experiment with musical standards, while remaining accessible in sound. They are currently on tour in the US, so check the listing below and catch them in your town. Voyage is set to release May 26.
